Become Obsessed

The best way to guarantee that you will stay motivated and maintain your schedule is to become obsessed.  Put your headphones in, turn up the music, embrace the sweat running down your forehead, and remember how the pump feels.  Take in every sensation, and most of all, be proud of every workout you finish.

Focus On Progress

Whether you’re aiming to lose fat, build muscle, or improve your cardio; focus on progress.  No, you should not step on a scale every day.  Choose a place with good lighting in your home, and take a progress photo once a week.  You may not see much difference in the first few images, but keep snapping those photos and you’ll be proud.

Stay Valiant

Valiant: Possessing or acting with bravery or boldness.  Don’t be afraid of exuding confidence and high self-worth.  Be brave and keep your head held high.  Every day you walk into the gym, make eye contact with those regulars and say hello.  Drop the introvert and you’ll eventually find the extrovert.

I’m a health and fitness enthusiast living in Oregon.  I’ve spent the last 7 years of my life chasing dreams that initially I thought impossible, and yet they continue to come true.

In 2013, I was what I once called “skinny fat”.  I spent most days sitting at a computer playing video games and eating junk food.  Physically, I Iooked okay, but mentally I was in a very mediocre place.

Yes, a mentally mediocre place – you know, when you feel there’s something better for you but you don’t know how to get there? That’s when I started visiting the gym 5 to 6 days a week and found my passion for lifting – something that would require me to continually set goals and better myself for the rest of my life.

I’ve recently begun to see success in helping other gym members by not only sharing tips and tricks, but motivating them to keep up the progress.  It’s time to share my knowledge and experience with the world.  I hope to provide life-changing information that will help new and experienced gym members alike, find the progress they’ve always dreamed of seeing.
